About you

How we moved

Between the devil and the deep blue sea - Digital album cover

In the end (I sing for you)

Well it’s four o’clock on a Sunday afternoon
We must dive into our breakfast on a Monday morning soon
Find out whether our standards have fallen down or are still up high
We do it every single week, yet we live without reply

I’ve seen a city under fire
I’ve seen the mothers of brave men cry
I’ve seen a helpless little kid yelling:
'We’re all gonna die'
Even if war might come to save us
no parent should bury their child

We discuss meaning of life
in a fast food restaurant
and the waitress' knowledge
is way beyond our colourful doubt
No one really cares about anything
as long as they get paid for it
Well I don't care

I am so sick and tired
of pretending who I want to be
It’s hard enough to be yourself
I shouldn’t change, I should wait
Because everyone is gonna meet someone
at least that’s what they promised us

Well I met you, I liked you
our friendship, it could only grow
Till it was big enough to last
and we were running out of things to know
I am not a protest singer
I just write love songs
to you

We were meant for each other
now quote yourself out of that

I listen to your songs on the train
when I go home
I love to listen to your voice
and I am thankful for meeting you
Some say I’ve fallen out of favour
but I think I have fallen in love
